Two Tickets wins again, this time the Best Independent Spirit Award at the Santa Fe Film Festival! Congratulations again DB.

You can read an interview DB did with Showbuzz at this festival http://www.showbuzz.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/11/30/movies_santafe/main3557392.shtml.

On a totally different slant, DB has narrated the Ocean's 13 DVD extra "Vegas: An Opulent Illusion". Please note DB's agency address has also been updated.

October 5 2007

Another congratulations goes to DB, as Two Tickets won the Best Feature award at the Coney Island Film Festival!! This make it SIX consecutive festivals named either Best Film or Best Director. Amazing!

Further to the Austin Film Festival and Fort Lauderdale Film Festivals in October (mentioned in previous updates), Two Tickets continues the festival run with the Dominican International Film Festival (November 8-11); Orlando Film Festival (November 10); and Anchorage Film Festival (November 30-December 9).

DB has also shared with us the exciting news he is going to be in Spike Lee's new movie Miracle at St. Anna. The film also stars James Gandolfini, Shia LaBeouf and John Turtorro. The film is based on the book by James McBride, which centres on black American soldiers who fought against the German army in WWII after getting trapped in a Tuscan village. It sounds like an exciting project and one to certainly keep watch!

Courtesy of DB we now also have the direct link to purchase tickets for Two Tickets at the Austin Film Festival! The screening dates are Sunday 14th and Wednesday 17th October. If you're local make sure to get your tickets quickly!

September 18 2007

Fans in the Coney Island area may want to follow this link to purchase tickets to the screening of Two Tickets to Paradise, followed by a Q&A with DB afterwards. Tickets for $6 sound like a bargain!

On a separate note, fans may be interested to know that DB has been used as a namesake in a new novel... although somewhat bizarrely "DB Sweeney" is the name of a character's dog!! Through Thick and Thin is the name of the book, written by Alison Pace.

September 5 2007

Two Tickets continues to impress on the festival circuit! The film has been selected for three further festivals, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (October 15 - November 11), Coney Island Film Festival (September 28-30), and the Austin Film Festival (October 11-18).

Hopefully many fans will get the opportunity to catch these screenings. Remember to keep voting and talking about the movie on the IMDB! ;)

The Two Tickets website has a flashy new look. Visit the website to see the changes and the impressive list of awards! A link to the latest trailer is also available.

July 31 2007

Congratulations goes to DB who won both the Best Director and Best Supporting Actor awards for Two Tickets at the Long Beach Festival this weekend. DB's shelf must be heaving under the weight of all the awards Two Tickets keeps receiving!!

July 29 2007

Thanks goes to DB again for keeping us updated on his latest projects. I can confirm DB will appear again on Jericho next season!! His character is scheduled to appear in episodes 2-5. Fans of Jericho will know what a development this is, considering the series was officially cancelled and only brought back through the will of the fans...

DB also says Entry Level is due to start making the festival rounds this summer and autumn, so keep an eye out for it! As for Two Tickets, as I mentioned in the last update the more 'buzz' fans can generate on the internet, the better. Keep writing on the IMDB - and across the internet - how much you want to see it. Keep the interest flowing!

Two Tickets is featuring at the Long Beach Film Festival this weekend. Details of the screening at Long Beach, California are:

Long Beach Festival: Sunday 7/29
3:15 in theatre 4
Long Beach Entertainment Center
300 East Ocean Avenue 90831

As we already know, the calibre of this movie means the nominations (and wins!) keep piling up for this movie. At this festival, Two Tickets has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and DB himself for Best Supporting Actor!!

It's also a good practise for those of you who have (or want to!) see Two Tickets, to head over to IMDB.com and give the film a good rating. The more votes it gets the more noticed it will be... ;o)

Whilst promoting Two Tickets, DB has also had time to complete work on two new movies - Stiletto and Heatstroke.

Fans in the UK should note that The Darwin Awards is now available on rental DVD. Having seen the film recently, I can confirm DB appears in two scenes toward the beginning of this quirky movie with a great ensemble cast. The US release is on 31st July - Amazon have this available for pre-order.

Yellow is also available to rent in the UK (I have my copy to watch this weekend!) and is also out to purchase in the US on 31st July from Amazon. A trailer can also be viewed at Lovefilm.com

Google Alerts threw up an interview DB did last October with a Chicago radio station. Even though it's a bit out-dated, it's still a fun interview. To listen to it, go to the web page and scroll down to the Podcast button. Once the file has loaded skip to the 29th minute to hear the interview.

The Huntington News featured an interview with DB during his time at the Appalachian Film Festival. The article can be read online here.

The festival run goes international on 18th May when the film is screened at the Monaco Music Film Festival, and will return to the US in June for the Staten Island Film Festival.
