Love is the
strongest emotion that one person can feel for
another person. Being "in love" is the end
all/be all. It is the it of its. That is why it is so
important to honor it and keep it sacred. That is why
you don't want to tell someone "I love you"
when that isn't really what is happening. It is easy
to get caught up in the moment and want to tell your
boyfriend/girlfriend "I love you,"
especially if you think that is what they want to
hear.
Remember to
say what you mean, not what you think someone wants
to hear. Don't be in a hurry to say "I love you"
if you are not sure. You will know when you are ready
and you won't have to question whether or not it is
love you are feeling.
I have
another kind of challenge when it comes to love. I
tend to close myself off from my emotions, especially
if I think someone is getting too close. What I am
now discovering is that it hurts much more to not be
open to love. The lack of love or the inability to
feel it is worse than the possibility of losing it
someday. I am working at opening my heart and
learning to trust because I don't want to miss out on
this wonderful thing.
