Always (1989) (Universal)  
Synopsis:
    Pete Sandich, a pilot who flies a fire plane, dies in a crash just after telling his girlfriend Dorinda that he loves her, but she does not hear him.  Pete discovers that the afterlife presents the opportunity to pass on what he learned through life to another, in this case, a young pilot who has eyes for Dorinda.  Pete, though dead, tries his best to keep them apart, but realizes that he needs to let go of his love for her so that she can love again.

This was Speilberg and Dreyfuss' third collaboration.  They had worked together on Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

MPAA Rating:
    PG for strong language, adult themes

My Rating:
    This is a great chick flick.  I enjoy it, and I am half surprised I waited until 1994 to see it.  It is available in widescreen (I think that is the only way it is available) and it is absoluetly gorgeous.  Speilberg did well with his locations and everyone plays their parts convincingly.
