INVISIBLE MANIAC

Like "Jack Frost" and "Horror House on Highway 5", "Invisible Maniac" aggressively applies the so-bad-it's-good paradox. The result? A movie that's undeniably dumb yet hilarious at the same time, and that's made abundantly clear right from the beginning when a budding serial killer/mad scientist is grounded for a whole year by his mother, who not only calls her son a failure but adds insult to injury by laughing at him! Given this background, he naturally grows up to be an over-the-top maniac. Actually, over-the-top is an understatement. There is no word in the English language to adequately describe the level of lunacy that he attains in this picture, especially when he becomes invisible. It's hard not to laugh when this guy is dramatically uttering pseudo-scientific jargon to the effect of "I am now injecting the bunny rabbit with the serum", and brother, does he laugh long and hard while undressing and then murdering shallow schoolgirls, some of whom gag unconvincingly and die cross-eyed. For icing on the cake, a mute janitor discovers the bodies and tries to scream for help, only to be knocked out by a quarter-witted student (yep, half as witty as a garden variety half-wit).

The bottom line: If you didn't get at least a chuckle from reading all this, then you'll wish the movie was just as invisible as the maniac.

QUARTER BY QUARTER ANALYSIS OF MOVIE

OVERALL RATING

4 out of 12

** NOTE: The more dots on the domino, the better the movie. 12 dots on the domino is the best rating while no dots means the DVD should be used for skeet shooting.**
