Did You Knotice?

...You shold Have!

This section of the site shows you things that you may not have noticed in The 'burbs--you probably noticed many though. I actually did not notice most of these the first time I saw it-- I was pretty young. You may also want to take a look at "Mysteries of the 'burbs" for more information on the movie. Oh, also, you can click on pictures with red borders for Real Audio Clips! If you don't have a Real Player, please check out the information page (there's a link for it at the bottom of this page). And if you have any Did You Notice's that you think are worthy, please tell me, I'll give you credit if I put it up. Enjoy!

Here's an easy one to start out with. Notice how when Ray pounds the knocker down, the 9 flips over to make the Klopek's address seem a little more appropriate for them.

There's nothing amazing about this one. I just thought it was funny how Art just crams all that food into one bite--I didn't notice this one for a while.

You can't see it in the picture, but Art, after he notices that the syrup bottle is empty, takes it, puts it back in the 'fridge, and gets a new one. This one is thanks to my cousin, Jimmy.

I like this one a lot. Notice how Carol walks by with the do food. While she pauses, Art grabs some and eats it. Then look at his reaction before he washes it down.

This one you probably did not notice. Gale Gordon, who plays Walter, was in several television shows with Lucille Ball. Well in his house, notice how he has pictures of him and Lucy together. This tidbit is thanks to the Internet Movie Database(see link in the Links section).

Did you notice Mark's camouflage car cover? Underneath is a silver Corvette. Shouldn't he be driving a hummer or something? Thanks to Travis for finding out it was a Corvette!

Did you notice Mark is eating animal crackers? Yeah, an army guy with animal crackers. And I bet that's apple juice in the cup. Thanks to Justin for this one!

Now is it just me, or are there some leaves in the little something for Hans' sweet tooth?

I like how the chant that Art made up is being chanted during Ray's dream sequence.

I just thought this image was funny. They thought Walter had been killed and stuffed in the garbage can. My, this dream is just full of imagery and symbolism--an English teacher's dream.
