I have never exactly been one who you could call "camera friendly", but I love seeing pictures of myself (oh, so vain). If you were to look in my high school year book, you would find no more than two or three pictures of me in the whole thing. So I thought, I would put this page on, just to show you what I think I look like.
This is me(on the right) with my brother Chris. Chris didn't like this costume a couple of years ago, so with nothing to wear on Halloween last year, I decided to give this one a try. It was one of my favorite costumes ever. I scarred little kids, and amused all the adults. You really have to get into character, and be prepared to take the mask off if it is scarring little kids too much.
This is a picture that is very, very old. Look at how skinny I am there! Honestly, this picture
is almost 10 years old. Ah, when we were young.
What I want to know is, who's got their hand on my girlfriend?
Sure!
Jessica has a great smile, doesn't she! This was the day that I asked her to marry me. We were at a dinner that we went to every other month. I played piano at it, so we were going to be there anyway. I wanted all of both of our families to be there when I did it, but I couldn't figure out how I was going to do it. After much thought, I decided I would do it that night. I told all of our families to be there, and told them not to tell Jessica what was going on. Well, we finished the music, but instead of going down to eat my dinner, I had Jessica come up to the front. I figured that she had to know what was going on by that time, but she still seemed pretty surprised. I did the romantic, cool thing and got down on my knee and presented the ring and asked her to marry me. She was in shock. Jessica is not one who likes to get up in front of people, but there she was. She laughed, giggled, and smiled for what felt like an eternity. Then, finally when the answer finally came, it wasn't yes or something straightforward like that. She said......"Sure!" I don't think I will ever let her live that down.
I always consider myself a man with many faces. Whether it was a game face, playing softball, or tennis, or golf, basketball, or mud football. Maybe it is my church face, the one that has compassion for the people around him. Or maybe it was the same face with just a different hat on. These pictures are all of me, and have been taken in the last year, but for some reason, none of them remind me of the guy I think I am right now. That's the problem: I could look around forever for the picture that looks like me, and take the time to throw it up onto a web page, but do you really know who I am? I guess I will go and live some more, take some more pictures, and let you know if I figure it out.
