Ever wonder what poor Ed Danvers and Maggie Conroy have to do? Click here to see the organization of the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office.
The State's Attorney - aka the prosecutor, solicitor, public prosecutor, DA, prosecutor of public pleas, county prosecutor, or prosecuting attorney - is in charge of prosecuting criminals in the interests of justice. It's his business to see that a prosecution which should be started is actually begun. The police come in contact with him or his assistants numerous times in the discharge of their official duties. The State's Attorney, when truly effective, relies heavily upon police competence & cooperation.
The current State's Attorney for Baltimore City is Patricia C. Jessamy. To learn more about her office, please click here.
