The access to the harbour, useless to say, was denied to fans, and only people with a special pass could wait there. Anyway, I told myself I couldn't stay over there, at about 10 metres above him. I had to go where photographers stayed.
I saw there was a locked gate and a little road that led to the harbour where Jim's boat was going to moor. Unfortunately there was a security man outside the gate...but as soon as he turned his head on the opposite direction, I jumped over the gate and I ran towards the harbour.
Once reached that place, I was safe because I was surrounded by so many photographers that no security guy could see me.
So I saw and photographed Jim when he arrived.
Jim smiled and waved the photographers and the fans. Then he got off the boat and stopped for a while with some journalists. One of them, a Spanish man, shouted "I love you, Jim!" and clung to Jim's neck, kissing him. Jim seemed to know this guy and joked with him, saying "I love you too!"
Later Jim entered in the hotel.
I thought I must stake everything I could to meet him. So I decided to follow him and I started running, trying to dodge the security. Unfortunately three security guys stopped me, so I started shouting "Jim!", hoping to catch his attention.
A lady, who was together with Linda and Jim (I think she was a Paramount representative), saw me and asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted Jim to sign me an autograph. So I gave her the ticket I got for the premiere of The Truman Show. She said: "If you give me that I don't know if you can get it back". I said I had to get it back otherwise I couldn't see the movie that night. So she said: "OK, follow me!"
I couldn't believe I was going to Jim!!! I felt so numb. I wanted to think about what to say to him, but I was so nervous and confused that I was unable to think about anything.
When I saw Jim, I couldn't help hugging and telling him: "Can I kiss you?" He hugged me and he also kissed me. I asked him to autograph my ticket and if it was possible to have a pic. together with him. He said there was no problem. He hugged me, he smiled...but the stupid guy who took the pic. didn't press the button, so he didn't take the photo. As soon as I realized it, I asked Jim to pose again...and he did it. He was very very nice and sweet. Then I thanked him for coming to Italy. I told him that I couldn't even dream what was happening to me. He smiled and thanked me. I also told him I had been running a Fan Site dedicated to him...but I was so excited and nervous that I wasn't able to speak.  He understood that, so he hugged me again and then he said he was very happy to know that Italian people loved him...and he seemed a bit surprised to know that even in Italy there were a Fan Site dedicated to him. Then he said he had to go. After kissing Jim's cheek and neck, I kissed and thanked also the lady who allowed me to meet him.
Then he entered in a side entrance of the hotel, where the access was absolutely denied to journalists, photographers and...obviously to me!
