Well I finally went to see "A Moon For The Misbegotten". They show was very emotional and also funny at times. Roy Dotrice is very funny and very talented, when he did his little jigs around the stage it was so funny and also endearing. Cherry Jones is also a great actress and very down to earth, when she came out of the theater I asked for her autograph and I told her how I enjoyed the show and how I felt it was emotionally moving she smiled and said "I'm glad you felt that, that's what they try for". Gabriel Byrne was at his best he played a very emotionally torn-apart drunk. When I met him after the show you can see how much he put into the show, because he looked very tired and drawn, but he was still adorable with white stubble on his chin. He took a picture with me and my friend, signed my playbill and he also signed one for V'le the Webmistress of Gabriel Byrne By V'le (which I have to get off my butt and send to her). I watched Gabriel as he talked and
signed autographs for everyone that waited and as he walked to his car he waved to me and my friend. As we were walking down the street we saw his car slowly crawling by and he saw us and waved again. Never let it be know that Gabriel does not care about his fans. He is a beautiful person inside and out. I will never forget the day I met Gabriel.07/01/00 - 2:00 Show
Well I went back to see the show for a second time and I enjoyed it as much as the first time. Since I already had Gabriel's autograph I just leaned against the wall and watched him signing autographs. At one point he was surrounded by at least 7 females he turned and saw me just leaning against the wall watching him. He looked me up and down and was looking me dead in the face with such a serious expression and it sent shivers down my back. He finally turned because another female was asking for an autograph. I don't know if he recognized me from when I was there before or if he was curious as to why I didn't ask for an autograph, whatever the reason was for that look I will never forget it for the rest of my life. While I was watching him I noticed he gave a nasty look to anyone who took a picture of him when he was signing autographs for other people. That is why I brought a camera without a flash, and I only took one picture. I just wanted to watch him and how he interacts with his fans. Gabriel is definitely a people person. Many thanks to Gabriel for being such a warm and patient person for his fans.
