Breathwork

Breathwork is a technique increasingly used by practitioners to assist the client in 'releasing' the breath through deep breathing exercises. The purpose of 'releasing' the breath is to enable the client to breathe through a difficult or uncomfortable experience which may arise during treatment. Focus on the breath frees up the blocked energy of the experience, allowing it to move through the body to be released.

The after effects of Breathwork can provide an enormous sense of relief, reduction of stress and alleviation of muscle tension. Old patterns of holding begin to gently break up and a new sense of aliveness enters as the breath anchors ones self in the present.
