Our son Dave is 29 years old. His first episode was when he was 2 years old. He was sick at home for a week then went to the hospital because he was dehydrated. They checked EVERYTHING on him and never found anything wrong. He did not have another episode until he was 19 and a freshman in college. He was in a motorcycle accident on August 28, 1988 and the episodes started December 28, 1998. I still believe that the motorcycle accident triggered something in him. He didn't have another episode until 6 months later and the frequency continued. He is much better now and has a short episode about once a month.
