- Maid of Honor, Kecia Betts, friends since junior high, and varsity cheerleaders in high school. She lives in Lexington, KY where she is continuing her education at the University of Kentucky.
- Marisha Humphries and I attended Howard University together, and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Alpha Chapter together (Sp '94). I was in her wedding. Marisha lives in Chicago with her husband, Solomon. She recently earned her PhD in psychology from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
- Sonya Elderanother HU alum and linesister. We were roommates for two years. I was also in Sonya's wedding. Sonya lives in Atlanta with her husband Jay. Sonya recently gave birth to their first child, a boy named Jayson Seth.
- Yvette Riddick is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was with me when Mike and I met. Yvette lives in Maryland where she just purchased a new home.
- Danielle Woodson and I grew up together, attending the same church and high school. Even though she attended the other HU, she and I remained friends. I was also in her wedding to Donnelle. They live in Columbus, Ohio where she attened law school, but will soon be returning to Cleveland where they recently purchased a home.
- Rachel Hodges is one of my oldest friends. She and I were in a social service club in high school and she attended Howard University, starting the year after me. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Sam, and three children. (I was also in her wedding).
- Melissa Jacksonanother HU alum and linesister. After graduating from Howard, Melissa moved to Atlanta to attend law school at Emory. Melissa still lives in Atlanta with her husband, Will (KAPsi). (Yes, I was also in her wedding!)
- Charita Howell is one of Mike's cousins and perhaps his closest female friend. She is a teacher in Birmingham, where she lives with her husband, Dennis (KAPsi), and two children.
- Cherie Cooleyand I became fast friends when she began teaching at the school where I teach. Unfortunately, we no longer work together, but fortunately for her, she is in Tuscaloosa, AL working towards her JD.
- Erica Merritt is the only bridesmaid I had who still lives in Cleveland. She and I met in high school as members of the same social service club that Rachel and I were in. She is busy being the mom of Kamani, who is completing the first grade, and studying for a Master's Degree.

and I also became friends while teaching together. She now teaches autistic children in Los Angeles. - Angela Hopkins
is Mike's cousin. She lives in Norfolk, VA and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Ida Blake and her husband, Darrell, are good friends of Mike's family and now me. She lives in Maryland with Darrell and their 3 sons.

is also Mike's cousin. She lives in Birmingham, AL with her husband, Marcus. (Mike was in their wedding). On New Year's Day Deirdre delivered their first children-twins! - JaiCynthia Farmer

is the woman who won the heart of my Godbrother, Kevin. They live in Clarksville, TN, where Kim is stationed as a doctor at Fort Campbell. She was recenlty deployed overseas--say a few prayers for her.(A bridesmaid, once again.)
is my Godsister. She recently completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Akron and will begin her master's Degree program this year.

Diamond Murphy is the granddaughter of Mike's former classroom aide; Katrina Hodges is the daughter of my bridesmaid, Rachel.
