"Mellifluous to
the end, the album is sweet and sublime. It is a work of beauty
conveying varying moods that can have you close to tears or
sitting back and smiling, remembering times past..." Mark Neilsen,
The Drum Media, Sydney 27/6/2000 "The album is a treat for fans
of strong songwriting and harmony singing, the diversity of
the songs only serving to make the record more compelling to
listen to." Anthony Horan, InPress Magazine, Melbourne 3/5/2000
"Beautiful." Les Everett, The Fremantle Herald, Perth 13/5/2000

Simple effective
songs and gorgeous vocals make this album by Joy & Lara most
enjoyable. For those that remember them from their days in the
WhipperSnappers, the girls now focus on a folk pop with delightful
harmonies and self-assuredness in this collection. The melodies
are infectious and the lyrics deal with personal perspective,
especially on tracks like "Papa Luigi's", "Sunroom" and "Emily".
Joy adds an acoustic guitar, whilst Lara complements her on
several tracks with a violin and mandolin. A rhythm section
is also evident on particular tracks, but it's the two voices
that relax and soothe the listener gloriously. It is hoped that
the rewards come their way. Carmine Pascuzzi
