Nibbles' Diary

This is the new and very much improved Nibbles' Diary. I'll write about my week, how my owner is doing, what I think about just about anything recent. I'll make an entry every week, on Sunday. So check back every week!

July, 1999

July 27th

Sorry about no updates to the diary lately!!! I promise for the next couple of days in July there will be updates!!! Today I got a clean cage! I know it's not BIG news, but it's news! It actually happens very often. Oh well! My owner is getting her room painted soon, and I have to move into her parent's room! I'm so excited about a new adventure!!!

July 11th

Not too much has happened this week. My owner went to Wonderland the other day. What else has she done? What have I done? Well, the heat wave is over, so I'm outside eating that yummy grass again!!!! My owner is going to camp this week, so I won't be able to talk to you all! See ya next week!

July 6th

Just thought I'd let you know that I went outside yesterday! As soon as I had spent 30 seconds outside, I oinked my heart out to go inside! It was so incredibly hot and humid! I don't want to go outside until this heat wave is over!

July 4th

To all Americans: Happy Independance Day! On a sadder note things have been so depressing lately! There's been a huge heat wave, and there have been temperatures over 35慢! My owner has been afraid of me sweating, or being dehydrated, so I haven't been outside since Friday. By the way, something else has outraged me. Posh Spice (Victoria Adams of the Spice Girls) just got married. It cost 1.2 million!!!! And the British magazine 'OK!' paid 2.3 million to cover it! I just pray that those figures aren't in British Currency (Pounds)!

June, 1999

June 27th

I apologise for missing a week in my diary updates! I had an awesome adventure the other day (on Friday). I was outside chomping grass. My owner was away, and she had told her Mom to bring me in before it got dark. I was going around the yard, and suddenly, I saw my neighbour's backyard, and lots more grass. I ran into the yard, where I chomped. Later, my owner's Mom came to get me, but she couldn't find me. I was starting to get scared since it was late. I started oinking, but they couldn't hear me. So then my owner's brother spotted a bit of my fur, and ran after me. I was eventually caught by my owner's Mom. When I went back inside, I was scolded, but got lots and lots of lettuce to calm me down. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

June 13th

On a sad note, I just found out about the passing of one of my dearest friends, Squeaky. Squeaky was a role model for any guinea pig. She passed away in March 28th, and this death was only made public very recently. On the topic of Botia, the science class guinea pig, the science teacher doesn't believe my owner, and thinks that Botia is in perfect health. My owner is trying to convince her that Botia needs to see a vet, but the teacher is a non-believer. My owner is a complete expert on guinea pigs (thanks to me, the super guinea pig of course). And I love her very very much.

June 6th

My human friend has been very disgruntled this week, and I thought maybe I'd help her by sending this message out to all male readers of my diary: DO NOT OPEN A CONVERSATION WITH 'HEY, BABE, WANNA CYBER?'. There, on to this week. Since last weeks' column, a few of you have offered advice to my owner about her situation. My owner will report back to me sometime this week with the outcome, so read for it next week! Apart from that, I've been just lazy. I graze in the backyard for most of the day, grass is the best taste in the world!!! I've heard a lot of the Backstreet Boys CD also, my owner is obsessed with them! This morning, my owner was walking out of a room with me and she bumped my head! It didn't hurt, but she thought it did and gave me a ton of romaine lettuce!!! See you next week!

May, 1999

May 30th

I've been hearing a lot from my owner about the guinea pig in her science class, Botia. She knows that Botia is very very sick, even though she's only about 3 months old! Botia has caves in her body and is always sneezing! My owner has no idea how to tell this to the science teacher before it's too late!

May 23rd

Sigh. Nothing truly interesting has been happening lately. My owner has been sooo busy! She has this huge project and she thinks that it's soo important. Harumpf. At least she still has time to bring me outside for some yummmy yummmmy grass. Yay! Well, I will talk to you all sometime next week!
