Flat Ground Tricks Street Tricks

Boardslide
Frontside 50-50
Noseslide

Ollie

Ok, the first, and most important trick: The Ollie. Ollies are pretty much the easiest trick. To perform the Ollie, place your front foot about two inches from the two front bolts. Place your back foot near the tip of your tail. Now, snap hard down on your back foot, and slide your front foot forward so that it covers the front two bolts; Push down hard with your front foot. Everything should work fine with a little practice. To achieve a higher ollie, put your front foot back farther. The mistake I see most is when someone doesnt push down hard with thier front and back foot. The ollie will not work if you do not push down hard!

Kickflip

Next, the kickflip. Kickflips are when the board flips beneath you, and you land on it. This does not mean that the board flips beneath you, you rotate your body, and then land it. The Kickflip is actually an Ollie that flips halfway through. So, you must Ollie to Kickflip. Now, to go about performing the Kickflip: Place your back foot on the tip of your tail, and your front foot half way on your board, and a little farther back than the ollie was. Do not turn your front foot when setting up. Now, snap down on your tail as you would an Ollie, and slide your front forward, out. To land, just trust yourself and land straight down on the board. It will problably take a few trys, but you'll get the hang of it.

Frontside 180

The Frontside 180 is very easy. Frontside 180's are when you Ollie, and turn your board towards your back 180 degrees. Now, to do a F/S 180: Set up just like you are doing an Ollie. You can place your front foot back farther for more height. Just snap back on the tail, and mid-way through the ollie, just rotate your board towards your back, in a 180 degree motion. Pull your front foot back hard, and slam it down. Make sure that you turn your board, after you have Ollied, and you are in the air.

Boardslide

A Boardslide is when you Ollie onto a rail, or a ledge, and slide with the middle of your board. To accomplish the BoardSlide, Ollie onto the rail, lean slightly forward, and slide down the rail, or ledge. These are very easy. Just make sure you have enough speed and you lean slightly forward. On ledges, it isnt necessary to lean forward. Just lean forward on rails so that you dont fall backward. Leaning forward also makes it easier to keep your balance.

Frontside 50-50

A Frontside 50-50 is when you go towards a curb, or ledge, Ollie onto it, and grind. These are fun, and easy. They are the basis for many more complex, and technical tricks. To go about executing this task, you will need to do this: Ride somewhat parallel to the obstacle. Make sure you are going at a decent speed. A slow speed wont work. Ollie onto the obstacle. This means, Ollie, and position your board so that your trucks are above the curb, ledge, whatever. Land on the obstacle with trucks, and just grind. Like I said, if you are going slow, it wont work. You will just stall. Back to what I was saying, grind, and when you want to get off, or when you are slowing down, just do a small Ollie off. Or you can just pull off the curb.

Noseslide

The Noseslide. One of the first tricks I, Joshua, learned. This ones a sinch. A Noseslide is when you slide on a ledge, curb, etc, with the nose of your board. To pull this monster off, do the following: Set up exactly like you would for an Ollie, rotate your board in a 90 degree (half of a 180) turn, focus all your weight on the nose of your board, and land your nose on top of the obstacle. At first just try stalls until you get the hang of it, then try them moving. It takes a few trys, but it should come easy. This one takes some speed, like the F/S 50-50. If you dont use speed, you wont pull it off.
