Welcome!

New information and communication technologies and the so called "on-line" technologies" (primarily the Internet) offered new and unexplored potentials for the improvement and development of civil society values and institutions. This is particularly evident in regard to the functioning of NGO's and the non-profit sector, which are the pillar of strengthening the civil society and creating an environment favorable to free expression of interests of social groups and individual citizens. The development of new information and communication technologies brings basic changes and daily innovations in the activities of NGO's regardless of their field of activities. Identifying, systemizing and presenting some of the new ways, means and activities that the above mentioned technological breakthroughs open to the NGO's is the main task of this Virtual Guide for the use of Internet by the non-profit sector. The site was created by the Belgrade Center for Strategic Studies in co-operation with the Belgrade Center for Development of Non-profit Sector and financial support of the Open Society Fund - Yugoslavia.

Start browsing! We do believe that this site and the corresponding CD-ROM will help you improve the work of your non-profit organization. Good luck!
