I received a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India in 1983, a Master of Design in Product Design from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in 1987 and a Master of Arts (Design Development) from the Department of Industrial Design at The Ohio State University in 1997.

My thesis project involved building and testing an online prototype of WorldInfo, a Web based information resource intended for use by decision makers dealing with International Business.

I am interested in working on the design and implementation of Web based information solutions. I have extensive knowledge of, and experience in working with the Web and associated technologies, including HTML 3.2, Cascading Style Sheets, Javascript/Java, Shockwave, Cookies, and CGI scripting (in PERL and C). I have a good knowledge of UNIX including programming in C, C++ and PERL. I am well versed with multimedia authoring using Director and Authorware. I have worked extensively with graphics, publishing, data management and multimedia applications. I also have good hardware and software knowledge of both Macintosh and Windows environments.

I collaborated with Prof. Roberto Garcia of the Max Fisher College of Business to design Web sites for BA 856,BA 555 and BA 555H (Introduction to International Business). I am also working with Prof. Wayne Chung on the Web site of the Department of Industrial Design.

I have had over 9 years of professional experience and have also managed my own independent design consultancy. I have strong oral and written communication skills, and can work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.

I presently work in the CD-ROM Group at the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse where I am involved in the design and development of interactive content for hybrid (with local and on-line multimedia content) HTML based CD-ROMs as well as their Web site. My responsibilities include Interface/Interaction Design, Usability Testing, Content Development and Production, and Multimedia Development.
