TripleTriad is a card game currently in development for the PC. It is based directly upon the original Triple Triad as found on Final Fantasy VIII for the Playstation.

In the game of TripleTriad, there exist 110 cards. Each cards has four numerical values, one corresponding to each physical side of the card. As cards are played, the numbers on each played card are compared with those on all adjacent cards according to a set of rules as defined prior to the game. If this comparison succeeds in the player's favour, the card goes under the control of the current player. The object of the game is to be the player with the most cards under his/her control after all nine spaces on the board have been filled.
