Computer Links
Note that all Linux and Thinkpad links are on the Linux page
This is just somelinks that I thought would be useful to have on the website. Bit of a "favorites" sort of page.
Hardware purchases
I find that dabs.com (uk based) is usually the best/top 3 for price on computer components. It doesn't tend to give detailed info though. Some of the following could help, but I'd always give dabs a check too. Mind you it usually is only a few pence between that and other sites such as scan.co.uk (or many others, copmuterprices.co.uk, ebuyer ..., like I say try google). Best (uk) price sites I've found have been kelkoo.com, ...
- tomshardware.com - good site for hardware reviews, American based, but you can often use google.co.uk to track the items down by brand.
- itreviews.co.uk - gives some good reviews too, looks neat, no bumph
Adaptoids!
Found recently, Adaptoids are a discontinued USB conversion device for N64 controllers ... I rather fancy one of these.
- stndev.btinternet.co.uk - this is a hobbyist site on building these things.
- smiff.clara.net - more Adaptoid info
- wishtech.com - the original source, why have they closed down though?
Some software links too
Just for good measure ... some things that I took a while finding:
XHTML/CSS links
Basically, these are things I have / am thinking about including in this site.
- dhtmlcentral.com/.../coolmenus/ - exactly what it says, a generic script to include CoolMenus on your site.
Random software links
These are bits of software that look possibly useful, eg for the Gaer site.
