I hope to add links at the bottom of the page to sets of pages which are relevant for a particular passage of scripture, but we'll see how it goes!
Resource: Bible versions, searches, concordances and commentaries | Description |
Gospelcom Welcome Center | All sorts of things here (that I never use) worth having a look around at if you've got a spare minute. Includes: Gospelcom Category Search ... A list of features and devotionals which I never use. |
The Bible: Latin Vulgate | The Bible in Latin!! for all you Latin Scholars. Other Bible versions are available local to this site, eg KJV. |
The Mustard Seed | |
World Wide Study Bible | Now this I use: This page lists each book of the Bible, follow the link and you get a breakdown of information sources relevant to that book, eg. under Phillipians it list links under the headings "About, Scripture, Commentary, Sermons, Expository Outlines, Article References, More Scripture". Excellent |
Easton's Bible Dictionary | This is the best Bible dictionary - it's online and free, it gives details of anything in the Bible, though some words aren't there: eg. tambourine isn't in but timbrel (an old word for the same thing) is. |
ARTFL Project: Bibles | Bibles in Latin, French, German (Luther's Bible) and English (KJV) - could be useful, maybe. |
Scripture Index | This page lists all books (+Apocrypha: books that are recognised as most as not being the authoritative word of God) when you follow the links you get a choice of scripture or non-scriptural resources - it is extremely good and lists alot of the early Christian texts. You can also get an e-mail of a scripture for the week. |
Blue Letter Bible | Provides commentaries and inter-linear presentations showing the Hebrew alongside a modern English translation. Has Strongs numbers and is searchable by these. |
