Nursing - Requirements
Admission Requirements:
• 3.0 overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale in previous college courses
• SAT score of 1,000 or ACT of 23
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
• 3 letters of recommendation
• A copy of your current RN license or interim permit
• Complete application for admission to B.S.N. program
• Official transcripts from other schools of nursing attended
• Graduate of a National League For Nursing Accrediting Commission (N.L.N.A.C.)
accredited school of nursing
• Program approved liability and health insurance
• Completion of physical exam including a drug screen and criminal background
check
• CPR card from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Compliance with state mandated and program immunization requirements

Computer Science, Sophomore Literature, Speech, or Technical Writing (3-0)
American History I and II (6-0)
U.S. Government and Texas Sate and Local Government (6-0)

Hours Fine Arts (Courses in Music, Art, Dance, Theater, Architecture) (3-0)
Nursing Prerequisite Courses:
Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II with lab (8-0)
Bacteriology or Microbiology with lab (4-0)
Chemistry with Lab (4-0)
Medical Spanish (3-0)
Nutrition (3-0)
Human Growth and Development Across the Lifespan (3-0)
