giving

1. Weeds are the bane of fields, lust is the bane of this mankind, hence what is given to the lustless yields abundant fruit.
2. There are three kinds of giving:
1. material giving
2. Dhamma giving
3. fearless giving
3. A gift......should not be made by a noble man who pursues a purpose (when giving)......(But) he who......makes a gift free from purpose, his stock of merits is not easy to be measured.
4. The body is not a self. For if this body were a self (then) this body would not tend to illness.
5. When the conviction of non-selfness has taken root in a person, it leads him to eguainimity and superior composure.
