1. | When a man speaks or acts with good intention, then happiness follows him like his shadow that never leaves him. |
2. | All states have mind as their forerunner, mind is their chief, and they are mind-made. If one speaks or acts, with a defiled mind; then suffering follow one even as the wheel follows the hoof of the draught-ox. |
3. | He whose mind does not flutter by contact with worldly contingencies, sorrowless, stainless and secure -- this is Hight Blessing ! |
4. | From moment to moment, a wise man removes his own impurities, as a smith removes the dross of silver. |
5. | Be on your guard against mental agitation, be controlled in thoughts, forsaking evil thoughts, follow right ways in thoughts. |
6. | You, the disciples of Gotama, must well awaken, by day and by night always contemplate the perfect sage -- Buddha. |
