(old) Warped Studio's
Warped Studio's was a game company I started back in early 1996. The original goal was developing game software for OS/2 (and obviously OS/2 Warp). The first game I worked on was Blade Warriors, it was like that old arcade game, Smash TV but on roller blades - lotsa 'tude (industrial soundtrack :) ), covert operations and big weapons.
Eventually the goal moved away from OS/2 Warp (well, IBM kinda turned their back on the OS and I saw the writing on the USENET groups). At this point I teamed up with Andy Adamczak, Mark McGinley and some other random folks to bring Warped Studio's to the Windows and Linux platforms. The Warped Engine was born! The Warped Engine was a cross platform development platform unmatched in it's time with features and ease of use. We generated several great game demo's during the course of trying to bootstrap the company. The game industry is quite the siren, singing sweetly and drawing developers to their doom on the rocks.
I dug up some graphics from games we worked on...enjoy...

Blade Warriors - a couple of screen grabs from the Blade Warriors game. It was an isometric game, I had only developed like 1 mission and a couple of test levels for it. I tried booting my only remaining OS/2 computer to play it recently...alas the machine would not boot. This game was 100% me - design, graphics, coding and soundtrack! |

Blown Cover - kinda based on the old SpyHunter arcade game Blown Cover was pure driving fun. Plenty of weapons, nice soundtrack and bright explosions! All the classic weapons like the oil slick were included for some fast paced arcade action. I created the design and all the graphics for this game and Andy coded the prototype. |

Other games we worked on included Captain Toxic, a side scrolling action game that was meant to teach players a bit about environmental degradation and Atomic Space Navy which was a top down space action/adventure game. A.S.N. had the most robust design and storyline of all the games we had worked on.
