Generating design documentation

The VHDLMG provides the facility to print or prepare bitmap image for documentation. All the four design views, including design hierarchy explorer, parameter editor, interface port editor, and block diagram editor, have this capability.

To print a design view, simply focus on the view, and invoke print function. Alternatively, the tool can convert design view to bitmap image and store it in window clipboard. This is done by invoking Edit -- Copy View. Then, you can paste the bitmap image in other applications like Microsoft Paint to save as image file, or Microsoft Word as a part of documentation.
