New Technologies

Universal serial bus is a new technology that will benifit all of us. It makes cards not take up an IRQ channel like they do now. A mouse won't take up an IRQ, your modem won't take up an IRQ. There will even be USB monitors. And there will be more plugin spots in the back of the monitor. Also some keyboards will have a 15meg flash chip inside of them for camcorder docking, for video editing, etc. The flash rom will show up as another drive on your computer.

Accelerated Graphics Port or AGP

AGP technology is a way better video card slot, supporting the highest resolution possible with 32 bit color. I'm not sure that any video cards are available yet for AGP though.
