Nim and Jean

Jeannie never argued with Mike.  Just one nice compliment from Mike to Jeannie and all her worries would be over.  She never

believed him a wrongful man just a man who had lost his guidance in life.  Mike Warner had been fired from his job from the bank.  He

was accused of embezzling money from work.  He was forced to pay it all back or he would be taken to court.  Mike paid it back, but

told Jeannie he was framed.  He blamed it on his good friend Jonathan, until that happened.  Of course, Jeannie believed his every

word and never talked to Jonathan again. 

                To Nim, everything that happened to Jeannie was his fault.  How could an old man properly take care of a girl and now a

woman.  He asked more than once if Jeannie wanted to leave the house.  Nim gave her many opportunities to get on with her life, find

an apartment and maybe settle down.  But he never mentioned Mike at all in his suggestions.  Jeannie worked part time as a nurse in

the morning at the General hospital and in the evening helped Nim with the florist shop.  She shared his love for flowers and working

at the florist shop always seemed to brighten her day as well as his.     Like
