kaj's pagan haven

hi. i'm pagan. and this is the main page to my pagan haven. while you're here, i hope that you find some answers (or perhaps, questions). if what you're wanting to know is not here, please email me and ask as many questions as you like!

please visit my new pagan online bookstore! it's very easy and inexpensive to order some of my (and your) favorite pagan-related books. (i hate to sound like an ad, but this is a really cool thing. just click the link, damnit)

"hey, kaj...what exactly DO you believe? i don't get this pagan stuff!" if this is how you're feeling, then you might want to read my litt'l essay on kajism.

the wiccan rede; the backbone of wicca. here-in lie the "codes of law" for wiccans and many pagans (parts of this i still hold very strongly to, other parts i don't....) dove for peace

here's what those wacky christian extremists have to say about all this pagan stuph goin on around them: (warning, some of this shit will really piss you off, but most of it will just make you laugh really hard!!!)

beltane is just around the corner! are you ready for it? if your first thought concerning this sentence is "huh??? bel-what?" then go learn about the major sabbats and celebrations.

learn about the tools used in wicca and other pagan practises (once again....i'm not exactly wiccan, but i do use some of these tools). ok, so you already know all about that stuff. you might want to see a general ritual for consecrating (cleansing) them.... i say "general ritual" because as far as i'm concerned, there is no right or wrong way to hold a ritual, and there are none which are universal. i make up my own rituals, rarely ever "going by the book," and i have added some "general" guidlines for making up your own rituals and spells. if you are pretty new to this, though, my first advice would be to find someone in "real life" who will teach you the ways; computers are great and all, but they are not a substitute for a real, breathing, person. if you are too stubborn, however, and are so sure that you're the best at everything that you can learn the craft off a monitor and a printer, please use what i give as a starter ritual.
... and try not to burn your house down.

notes on casting a circle...

notes on moon correspondances for working magick... (i don't follow these myself, but you might be interested in when many wiccans do what kind of spell, according to the moon phases.)

i do, however, work closly with color correspondences, which i relate these directly to the chakras of the body. they are very symbolic, and not much more, but the colors themselves help to keep you focused on what you're working on. i usually use these in the form of candles, colored sand, or in visualizations.

notes on herbalism... i would use herbs more if i had the resources, since this would be the only "concrete" magick to use.

"pagans among us".... a wonderful sermon written by a UU pastor. worth reading, whether you're a christian, pagan, or otherwise...

"the 'other' people"... a very long but interesting essay by otter on those people who didn't come from the garden of eden. complete with biblical references. stump your own jehovah's witnesses today!

kaj's short, comparative guide to religions...this is pretty humerous, if i do say so myself...

"whatever you do, don't let a lizard count your teeth...." and other stupidstitions to live by and laugh at...

you might be a technopagan if any of these charactersitics apply to you...

here are some of my favorite links to other pages relating to pagan stuph.

never forget the burning times!

if you got this far down the page, you deserve to leave your mark!
