When everything seemed to be predestinated to fail, a light shines on Jotar's artistic environment. A language professor from the times of highschool re-appears in scene. She and her fiancé has a discrete magazine about videos and films; free distribution on videoshops. "What about to draw the covers and a comic?" They ask. Video Gazette becomes the first printed work of Jotar. He's 19 for that time, and he stills remember with the biggest joy the first time he saw the cover of that magazine.

 

Jotar travels the south of his country as a backpacker, making new friends all over. For the same time he creates Laura the Immortal, a girl born in 1945. Nearly to the 2300 she finally decides to commit suicide once for all. She was a sad character. Never saw the light in any publication. Pity her.

 

Somehow, the small publishing house where Jotar works is brought for a powerful Mexican company: Televisa. Well, this thing doesn't change too much for Jotar, but it's a part of the story. The ends of 1993 brings to life other comic of Jotar: Cazadores (Hunters). A brief tale with no dialogues and dinosaurs. This comic finally got published in the Nostromo Comics magazine in 1998. But that is another tale...

 

Aaah... Work is work. The dark side of the force tempts Jotar, and a writer friend pushes him to a darker side of the magazines industry: Pornography. He finds amusing to design parodies of movies and stories from real life... like Jurassic Park, John Bobbit's matter, TV shows, etc... Of course "If you dance with the devil..." ...This crappy magazine called The National Piggy goes bankrupt and Jotar -and other drawers- lose the opportunity to collect some unpaid money. It's 1994.

 

1995 is the year of Jotar's big balance. With 22 years of life time, he reads The Lord of The Rings. Travels for second time to the Patagonian territories down at the south of Argentina... and planifies. He planifies his biggest trip for the next year: Reach the Empire...
