Rabbit Stew

I bought a pair of rabbits from the local pet store.
Two was all I wanted, I didn't want any more.
But then the boy rabbit asked the girl out on a date.
Nature took its course, and then there were eight.

The bunnies grew up quickly,
And had their first one-night stand.
And then there were forty;
It was way out of hand.

I thought a lot one evening,
While eating rabbit stew.
Rabbits aren't just pests;
They can be useful too.

Rabbit fur coats keep me warm,
When winters are very cold.
Rabbits' feet as good-luck charms;
Hundreds of those I sold.
