Advance Australia Fair

Australians let us all rejoice for we are young and free
We've golden soil and wealth for toil; our home is girt by sea
Our land abounds with nature's gifts of beauty rich and rare
In history's page let every stage Advance Australia Fair
IN JOYFUL STRAINS LET US THEN SING ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR

Beneath our radiant southern cross we'll toil with hearts and hands
To make this commonwealth of ours renowned of all the lands
For those who've come across the seas we've boundless plains to share
With courage let us all combine to Advance Australia Fair
IN JOYFUL STRAINS LET US THEN SING ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR

WALTZING MATILDA

Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong
Under the shade of a coolabah tree
And he sang as he danced and waited til his billy boiled
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
And he sang as he danced and waited til his billy boiled
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Down came a jumbuck to drink to drink at that waterhole
Up jumped the swagman, grabbed him with glee
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck into his tuckerbag
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck into his tuckerbag
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Up rode the squatter mounted on his thoroughbred
Down came the troopers, one, two, three
Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tuckerbag
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
Whose that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tuckerbag
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Up jumped the swagman, sprang into that billabong
"You'll never catch me alive" said he
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

MY COUNTRY

I love a sunburnt country
A land of sweeping plains
Of rugged mountain ranges
Of droughts and flooding rains

I love her far horizons
I love her jewel sea
I love her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me

Though earth holds many splendours
Where-ever I may die
I know to what brown country
My homing thoughts will fly

Core of my heart my country
Island of the rainbow gold
For flood and fire and famine
She pays us back threefold

I love a sunburnt country
A land of sweeping plains
Of rugged mountain ranges
Of droughts and flooding rains

Though early holds many splendours
Where-ever I may die
I know to what brown country
My homing thoughts will fly.
