Diana

There is a lot to say
But it's not easily said
About a 36-year-old woman
Who now is dead

She touched the hearts of many
From all different walks of life
She gave hope to the sick, the maimed, the hungry
She was more than just a prince's wife

The world's most photographed woman
On the covers of magazines
Hounded by the press for pictures
For newspapers and TV screens

When the whole world got a glimpse of her
On her wedding day
Who would have thought way back then
That her life was to end this way?

But when those afraid of land mines
Can once again walk through fields without fear
When royalty shows a more human face in the future
It's all because Diana was here.
