DANCE
HISTORY Dance history may not seem interesting to dancers, until he opts to
teach and compete. However, even the amateur dancer would benefit much from an
understanding of how dances originated, the differences between the dances, and what makes
a new dance. Surely, the understanding will help dancers
improve their creativity, that is, improving ability to create their own
dance sequences and styles, characterize each dance with the music, and
to eventually develop their own dances for all to enjoy.
