Airlie Beach
Our good friends Sue and Andre now live in Airlie Beach, a tourist Mecca about 3 1/2 hrs south from our home. We went to visit them for a night in early July 2002.
We took a walk along the shore, which was just lovely. Such beautiful scenery.
Sue and Andre's unit is on a hill overlooking the Whitsunday passage. It backs onto some natural bush and Sue has encourages native wallabies to her back door for food and water.
The morning before we left, we visited a local waterhole. The waterfall was not running unfortunately. We hiked around to the top and sat among the rainforest.
