You've stumbled upon my exit off the internet super highway. Feel free to wander around and make yourself at home. Afterwards, if you have the time, sign my guestbook and tell me a little about yourself.

Hi, I'm "T."

The obligatory pic.

"She was not what you would call refined.
She was not what you would call unrefined.
She was the kind of person that keeps a parrot"
~Mark Twain

Where on Earth . . .?
I'm currently located in the Chicago Area. I was born and raised here but moved away when I attended college. Soon after graduation I married (it was love at first sight, but I should have taken a second look) and moved to Kentucky. I spent 13 years living in and around Louisville (land of fast horses and beautiful women). Due to a job relocation I spent time in Maryland (Annapolis and Columbia), and then in the Philadelphia area where I resided at the end of the "main line" in the town of West Chester. During that period of my life I became single again for the second time. I have come full circle ... I managed to find my way back home to the Windy City!

The Professional Side...
In college I studied art and got a teaching degree but never used it. I started out in advertising production and I moved on to a corporate marketing position.

The Personal Side...
I don't have any kids, unless you count my canine friend, "Samson"
an Old English Sheep Dog. There's "Newt", a female yellow Lab. And let's not forget my fid (feathered kid) - a male Red-Sided Eclectus parrot, "Basil". Seems that I've always had pets around. The gambit has ranged in scale from horses to marine tropical fish. Animals are such agreeable friends--they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.

And I Enjoy...
Good friends and meeting new people -- interesting ones with a good sense of humor -- good books, restaurants and wines, movies that make me laugh, and simply enjoying the variety of things that the city has to offer: restaurants, museums, coffee shops, trudging up and down Chicago's Magnificent Mile exloring various shops and people watching.

I try to stay fit by biking on the Illinois Prairie Path or along the bikepath in our new subdivison. I also do a little roller blading (a novice at it who remembers that grass is your friend just before taking a gracefull spill)!

In 2001, I hooked up with my significant other (I'm trying yet another domestic relationship...third time's a charm, right?) and we built a new house in the far west reaches of the Chicago burbs. Lately we spend more time out in the suburbs and very little time in "downtown" Chicago. Landscaping and household projects take up most of our precious little leisure time. We love spending time out of doors and the backyard garden is one of our favorite spots in the summer. In the winter, we tend to cocoon indoors in front of the fireplace sipping some vino while watching movies. With the right motivation, tackle the new exercise equipment to keep in shape. . . what a battle that's become!

"My idea of good company, Mr. Elliot, is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company."
"You are mistaken," said he, gently, "that is not good company--that is the best. Good company requires only birth, education, and manners, and with regard to education is not very nice."
~Jane Austen, Pursuasion
