Love, Romance, and Good Health - Why they don't mix
(These are true stories. The names have not been changed to protect the innocent)
Life has really been on the rocks for us privledged few making for some serious emotional roller coasters. Who can ever figure out the opposite sex? I know certainly not I. Games tend to be the arena that women are most comfortable in, while men tend to excel in the art of stubbornness and, frequently, the lack of self preservation. I don't know many guys that will react well when faced with a mind game... but at the same time, I don't know any that will get out of it either. The stubbornness works as both a detriment and an asset. For women, gameplaying can be a dangerous thing, but the catch is, they're good at it. Let me demonstrate: The oldest one in the book - "Honey, how do I look?" Now... she has just spent the last three hours doing her hair, makeup, picking out clothes, etc. and after all that hard work, she comes to you looking something like a cross between Bozo the Clown and the wrong end of a baboon. How is that question answered? Honesty or self-preservation? You know that if you answer with "You look fine", and she is going to be with friends, you will be in a world of hurt. They are going to be honest with her. She will then come to you wanting to know why in the samhell you let her go out looking like that. However, if you answer with "You look ridiculous" or, better yet, "I think (blah blah blah) would look nicer," you'll find yourself sleeping on the couch... if you're lucky. Men do different things. Here's a good one: "Honey, I'm going out with my friends tonight". Unless she had some plans of her own, she will insist on either coming with or give you a hard time about it. The man will typically react by either allowing himself to be whipped or get stubborn and do it anyways. Rarely does this ever come to anything good. I have taken some of my own personal experiences and put them here for you to read, enjoy, and relate to. Here are the different stories in roughly the same order as they happened. The updated sections should be indicated. |
