Pokémon FAQ
1. Where is Mew?Mew is not found in the english version of Pokémon. You can only get Mew with the GameShark or Game Genie, but it won't have the right abilities. You could've won it from a contest Nintendo held in early January of 1999, but only 151 Mews were given away.
2. Where is Mewtwo?Mewtwo is in the Master Cave North of Cerulean City.
3. I've been training my pokémon for a really long time, but it won't evolve. How come? The pokémon you are training probably has to be exposed to a special stone to evolve. Please refer to my evolutions section for all pokémon evolutions.
4. Where is the pokéflute?I have received this question several times. First, get into Saffron City. You can get into Saffron by giving the guard a FRESH WATER, which is in Celadon Dept. Store, on the top floor, that is only accesible through the stairs. When you're in Saffron, go into Silph Co., beat Giovanni to get the Silph Scope. With the Silph Scope, you'll be able to identify the ghosts in Pokémon Tower. Go to the top of Pokémon Tower, beat the members of Team Rocket and rescue Mr. Fuji. Mr. Fuji will give you the Pokéflute.
5. A sleeping pokémon blocks my way. How do I move it?Play the Pokéflute to wake it up. Prepare for a battle though.
6. How come every time I throw a Pokéball/Greatball/Ultraball at Moltres/Zapdos/Articuno, I miss? You should drain the pokémon, and then put it to sleep. It worked for me.
