This is the story of NaCl, and how we became us. Read on, learn all you can. Then you will know more than your friends. They will think that you are smarter than they are.
NaCl started 3 years ago when Frank, Kenton, and Aaron (all in the band now) along with Kelly and Mike started a band called Another Persons Children or A*P*C*. A*P*C* never wrote a song, and it never rehearsed. It never played in front of people. It just died. After doing nothing but loose members (Mike and Aaron to be exact) A*P*C* got together and wrote one song. It was great. You should have been there. It was called "Salvation met in a motel staircase" and was later shortened to "Salvation." This song is still played today. Aaron re-joined the band to complete the quartette. A man named Jon was introduced and we covered a song or two and felt it necessary to rename the band. This was when the Y2K hype had just begun, and, so, the band was named "Prophecy2K." After 10 of 15 minutes we realised that was a stupid name. At one practice, Frank invited a guy named Josh to play with us. He accepted. Aaron left the band, again. Jon left with Aaron, leaving Frank, Kenton, Kelly, and now Josh. After agonising over it for weeks Frank said, "What about the chemical fromula for salt?" The rest said, "Good Idea!" They all turned to Kenton and said, "What's the formula for salt?" Kenton said, "You guys are dumb." And so, NaCl. They wrote several songs and played many places (Invasion X, Riverfest '99, to name a few). Kelly left then to join the Navy. Josh disappeared and Frank and Kenton were left with out guitar or bass to make beat poetry. They convinced Aaron to come back, and found Tim(an old rocker) and Casey(who belonged to another band). |
