Our History

Paul and Ric have been playing together for about three years, and were a driving force behind another semi-popular band called Arkane. Unfortunately, that band only lasted about a year, as Ric's Air Guard unit got shipped over to Hungary. When he returned a year later, they began to talk about putting the band back together (obvious Blues Brothers reference...). They found a couple of extra guitarists , George being one, and reformed Arkane as Localized Chaos. One day, Paul was practicing some solo stuff for an open mike night he was planning on playing at when Ric just came in, plugged up and started playing right along. George followed suit, and the chemistry was perfect. The one time jam, or so we thought, became a twice a week practice session, and within a couple of weeks, we had already created about a dozen or so originals from lyrics that Paul had lying around. Localized Chaos still plays around some too, but Choices is where their hearts lie at the moment. The music of Choices is what they have termed as being "ya'llternative." Take one part folk, one part 70's classic rock, and one part country-rock, and you have Choices. Thier set list includes a few originals, and many covers, including hits by such acts as America, the Rolling Stones, drivin n cryin, Buffalo Springfield, and a local favorite Skeleton Crew. Everyone who has heard the band seems to be really amazed at the hidden talent of these three Mississippi boys. Choices plans on trying to record sometime in the early part of 1998, and when they do, they world... well, the Southern U.S. anyway, will be making the right choice with them.
