Price, who had left The Animals in 1965 due to his fear of flying, put the band together during the following year. The Set were a horn-laden outfit who had a number of hits between '66 and '68. Their first success being a reworking of Screaming Jay Hawkins' "I Put A Spell On You".
Subsequent records were in a style closer to the old British music halls than the blues.
Following the demise of the Set, Price teamed up with Georgie Fame for a short-lived liason.
Walters later became a BBC producer.
