JANEYZEE'S LIGHTHOUSE PAGES
STATISTICS FOR THE BILOXI LIGHTHOUSE:
We drove through Biloxi, Mississippi, going to and coming from our New Orleans trip. My husband was stationed there in the 70's and he wanted to see how it had changed. The Biloxi lighthouse sits in the median of a four-lane road and I regret to say we didn't take the time to park anywhere to take pictures. Then I got an email from Brian, a lighthouse enthusiast who sent me some of his pictures, including the two on this page. He and his wife Amanda, who were married at the top of the Biloxi lighthouse, are now The Lighthouse Hunters and have lots of his pictures posted on that website. Brian said it was great to have the key to the Biloxi lighthouse while he lived there so that he could light it up a little early and take advantage of the great sunsets while taking his pictures. I think he did a terrific job at capturing the beauty of this light:
Just recently I found another great picture of the Biloxi lighthouse in the April 2002 on-line edition of the Lighthouse Digest. It was one of the winners of the photography contest and it's another gorgeous depiction of this light.
Travel to the next light .....
