Just some quick doughts on mah' trip t'de US and Hong Kong (Nov 21-Dec13)… Mah' fust trip back t'de US in some year and 1/2. I stopped out in Califo'nia and wuz picked down by some long time plantationtown homey. Dat wuz real supa fine especially since mah' plane wuz switched t'a flight 6 hours later. Ah be baaad... ah' ended down upside claimin' de amount uh baaaads ah' should gots and paid some duty. Slap mah fro! You's is allowed $400 uh baaaads bought overseas widout bein' taxed. It’s not some real issue unless it’s easily assessable how much ya' gots and dat it wuz bought overseas. Since plum about everydin' ah' owned at dat point wuz fum out uh de country ah' dought t'play it safe.
De time ah' spent in CA wuz real supa fine, but some bit cold fo' CA. Gots t'see Pacific Beach, waaay downtown LA, San Diego and oda' beachfront propuh'ty. Slap mah fro! Met down wid Stephanie Black (au) and some homey ah' met in Bangkok (Michelle). (Apparently we saw Babyface at da damn restaurant we had dinna' at. Man!) CA wuz real supa fine and ah' could easily see mah'self livin' dere…
Den flew de uneventful 5 hours t'Milwaukee t'arrive in de not so's freezin' cold. Pops hooked me down wid some jacket so's dat wuz helpful. It wuz supa fine digtin' on Midwest 'espress and hearin' de Sheboygan accent uh de airhostesses. You's know it if ya' saw Fargo. 'S coo', bro. I had some waaay coo' danksgivin' at grandmas where ah' gots some lot uh "How wuz Dailand?" ah' dun didn’t 'espuh'ience as many gross stereotypes as ah' would gots 'espected havin' heard encounters likes "So's ya' feed da bud Chinese food every day?" and "Do dey gots any doodad likes dese [mobile phones] upside in Dailand?". De food po'shuns howeva' where overwhelmin'.
I took some road trip out t'Colo'ado wid some baaaad plantationtown homey (Nicky) fo' some snowbo'din' in Vail/Beava' Creek. Ya' know? Dere wuz little snow, so's de day and ½ uh ridin' wuz rada' lame. Plus ah' wo'e stupid wool socks dat rubbed mah' ankles raw, so cut me some slack, Jack. Stayed wid Tom and Jen Burnet (again) at deir $4 million dollar crib (well deir room uh it). A sweet ski in Ski out. Man! It wuz baaaad t'see Vail again afta' a year and ½.
De wide-jimmey spaces uh de Midwest wuz sump'n t'behold. So's much space. So's many cattle. De Mountain Dew selecshun at da damn truck stops.
While plantation ah' wuz able t'help mah' parents dig some clunker. P2, 333, 6gb. Co' got d' beat! Finally dey is online. ah' actually learned some lot when ah' discovered mah' mom wuz havin' trouble puttin' de mouse pointa' where she wants'ed. Win98 gots a supa fine "meet yo' clunker" tuto'ial dat wuz helpful.
One uh de last nights we [Scott, Perry, Aimee] ended down at Dai Massa' ’s where dey had some Dai restaurant boogie club combo. 'S coo', bro. ah' ended down metin' de owner’s mama, some Dai lady fum near Surin. 'S coo', bro. She wuz fun and let me tour ha' restaurant and da damn knick-knacks hangin' de walls. ah' discovered "Bangkok Beer" fo' 'espo't only. Slap mah fro! ah' dink its Klosta' wid some different label. Also gots in some padetic night uh volleyball afta' which ah' wuz totally so'e. A couple baaaad nights uh spades wid de boys. Saw Randy and Tonia Meyer’s new crib.
On de way back ah' stopped in Hong Kong fo' some day and night some great stopover. Ah be baaad... Deir new airpo't be real modern. 'S coo', bro. ah' took de bus into Kowloon and found some place fo' 280 HK ($40). Everydin' be rada' 'spensive dere. ah' spent da damn day wid dis goat ah' had met upside de internet. Man! She showed me around told me about places. HK be a great place fo' shoppin', wid malls everywhere and all kinds uh baaaads. De oda' big doodad be de sucka's is everywhere all de time. Subways is always crowed as well as streets. It wuz real some fast paced city, unlikes Bangkok. Ya' know? ah' would live dere if ah' could find some baaaad housin' situashun. Dere be enough western influence dat be a baaaad taste uh ‘east meets west’.
De one 'espuh'ience ah' had wuz bein' woken fum some deep sleep and ax'ed where ah' wuz fum and where ah' wuz goin' by some sucka's dat said dey wuz de honky pigs. Well havin' plum woken down, ah' couldn't quit rememba' where ah' wuz, o' actually where ah' wuz goin', which actually kind'a shocked me. Den when ah' wuz plum about t'protest ah' remembered ah' wuz in China and da damn reasonable cause argument many not gots communicated da damn same meanin'. Anyway dey wuz satisfied wid mah' American passpo't, as dey wuz lookin' fo' illegal aliens.
