	#3 Saadian Tombs in Marrakesh. Although the mad sultan Moulay Yazid was laid to rest here in 1792, the tombs essentially remained sealed following Moulay Ismail's reign. They were not "rediscovered" until 1917 when General Lyautey, his curiosity awakened by an aerial survey of the area, ordered the construction of a passageway down into the tombs. They have since been restored.
