Travel Notice: Jakarta. February 20th - March 20th, 2002. February 18th, 2002 This is my first time to go skiing in Japan! I went to Geihoku International Ski course yesterday. It took one hour and thirty minutes by car. I enjoyed it very much.
February 7th, 2002 Ever since I've been here in Japan, I never watched a TV drama which could touch my heart so deeply... until I watched "Friends". This drama is a collaborate production between TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting) and MBC Korea. It was aired on February 4th and 5th in Japan and will be aired on February 15th and 16th in Korea. I took the picture below from its official homepage: http://www.tbs.co.jp/friends21. The main actor and actress are from Japan and Korea. Fukada Kyoko and Won Bin (a famous idol from Korea). The story is actually simple and plain, and probably some part of it would never occur in the real life. However, the theme of the drama which are about cultural understanding, friendship, international relationship and love made this drama is a worth watching. I really love the soundtrack song of this drama! It's just fit the story.
January 13th, 2002 I went to "The Very Late New Year Party" today held at a Hall in SunSquare. I had chance to wear Yukata (Japanese traditional cloth), drink bitter Japanese tea (tea ceremony), write some Japanese letters (calligraphy), hear traditional Japanese music (samisen) and eat mochi (cake made from rice). Wow... it was a complete party to know more about Japanese in celebrating the new year. I made several Japanese friends, too! One of them surprised me, because he is the one who translated Indonesian national song (Indonesia Raya) into Japanese! He is an old man, around 60 years old. His name is Yoshinori Nakano. So, we sang the song together; I sang it in Indonesian language and he sang it in Japanese translation!! Here is my picture in Yukata. As usual, more picture in my photo album.
January 4th, 2002 Exciting, Fun and Refresh!!! Those are three words I could say to express my feeling after I returned back from Kagoshima. I'm so honored to be invited by Kakazu's family to celebrate the new year in Kagoshima. Everyone is so kind, I enjoyed every minute I spent with them.
