Ha`a Workshop

"Ha`a" is a mix of hula and Hawaiian martial arts. These were chants or stories with different themes. It could be about the birth of a canoe or the birth of an island, or any element of the Earth. Before Captain James Cook discovered Polynesia, Pacific islanders greeted each other with different protocols. The ha`a could be used as a part of the protocol which would also include the naming of your ancestors.
