This site is about the Coast to Coast Walk across northern England, from the Irish Sea on the West coast to the North Sea on the East.

The 300 kilometer walk runs from St Bees in Cumbria, through the spectacular Lake District, across the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, before finally ending up at Robin Hood's Bay at the edge of the North Sea on the East coast.

In August 1995, three friends and I set out to do the Coast to Coast. This site contains the story of our long march, which may be of some use to others who intend to follow Wainwright's tracks.
