ATTRACTIONS:

Indiana Jones Adventure Travel back to 1935 for a thrill-packed expedition into the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. According to the legend, the powerful deity Mara "could look into your very soul", and then grant "the pure of heart" one of three magical gifts: unlimited wealth, eternal youth, or future knowledge, however, the legend also issues a warning: "A terrible fate awaits those who gaze upon the eyes of Mara!" Dr. Jones would only say, "Records indicate that many have come ... but few have returned."

For those who dare to look into the eye of Mara, their journey will take an entirely different route. Their vehicles could encounter clouds of smoke, fire, bubbling lava pits, a crumbling ceiling, or even an "up close" confrontation with Mara. Legend says that Mara vaporizes the "unworthy" with beams of fire and other horrors such as screaming mummies, horrible bugs and rodents, snakes and poisonous darts. At the end of the journey you'll face a gigantic rolling ball which threatens to flatten you and your vehicle. Indiana Jones Adventure

Jungle Cruise:
One of the original Park attractions in 1955, it is a guided exploration of the rivers and waterways of the world's most remote tropical. Here you come face to face with gorillas, tigers, crocodiles, elephants, hippos, and lions in this exciting adventure down the tropical rivers of the world.

Trivia:

  • Original plans for the portions of the Jungle Cruise called for real wild animals, but zoologists warned Walt that the animals would always be asleep during operating hours.
  • Harper Goff, a scenic designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, based many of the visual elements of The Jungle Cruise attraction upon the famous Humphrey Bogart, Katharine Hepburn film, The African Queen.
