FANTASYLAND

Welcome to this fairy tale land in the hearth of Disneyland, where all your dreams come true.

ATTRACTIONS:

White Rabbit
Alice in Wonderland:
Characters and scenes from the movie are brought to life for this tale of Alice's crazy chase after the White Rabbit. You travel in oversize caterpillars, then, you fall down the rabbit hole, and you enter Wonderland. In this ride you get to see a lot of characters from the movie, like Tweedledum and Tweedledee, singing roses, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and her playing-card soldiers, the White Rabbit, and more.

Casey Jr. Circus Train:
Inspired by one of the key sequences in Walt Disney's 1941 film Dumbo, in which the engine known as Casey Jr. pulls a circus train up a steep hill. This 4 minute ride circles Storybook Land.

Dumbo
Dumbo the Flying Elephant:
Another ride inspired by the 1941 film Dumbo. In this ride, you sit on one Dumbo, and you fly around Timothy Mouse, you can control if you either want to go up or down. This two minute experience is especially loved by youngsters in the two through seven age group.

It's a Small World:
In this 12-minute attraction you see audio-animatronics dolls from all around the world singing "It's a Small World". Some of the countries include Mexico, Japan, Arabia, Holland, Morocco, and a lot more. This is one of the most famous rides at the park

King Arthur Carrousel
King Arthur Carrousel:
Guests can see this graceful and colorful park landmark as they stroll toward the Sleeping Beauty Castle passageway into Fantasyland. The carrousel has 18 rows of 4 elaborately carved horse each, 72 in all, no two alike.

Mad Tea Party:
Another ride inspired by the 1951 movie Alice in Wonderland, the scene where the Mad Hatter hosts a tea party for his un-birthday is the theme for this attraction, a group of oversize pastel teacups that whirl wildly on a spinning platform.

Matterhorn Bobsleds:
This ride is counted among Disneyland's most thrilling. The real allure of the 3 minute attraction is that along with the speed goes a show. You take a long climb into the cold, black innards of the mountain and make a speeding, twisting, and turning descent through a cloud of fog and past giant icicles and ice crystals toward a brief encounter with the Abominable Snowman and a splashdown in an alpine lake.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride:
Inspired by the 1949 Disney film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. This attraction takes guests on a wild ride with Mr. Toad. He loves cars, but he doesn't know how to drive. In the ride, he crashes through the fireplace in his library, bursts through a wall full of windows; careens through the country side; charges headlong into a warehouse full of TNT, which blows up; lurches through the streets of London and rams into, and out of an evocative pub; goes to court and is put behind bars; nearly collides head-on with a railroad train; and ends up in a fiery inferno.

Peter Pan's Flight:
This attraction is inspired by Walt Disney's 1953 animated movie Peter Pan. Pirate ships carry travelers over London, and through some of the scenes from the movie.

Trivia:

  • Of the 350 miles of fiber optics used throughout Fantasyland, the majority appears in this attraction.
  • The twinkling Londo layout is an elarged model of an authentic map of the city.

Pinocchio's Daring Journey:
This attraction is based on Walt Disney's 1940 film Pinocchio, the wooden boy who wanted to be a real kid. In this ride Pinocchio goes to Pleasure Island. Where little boys play all day, and then they turn into donkeys and the coachman sells them to the salt mines. Pinocchio escapes from Pleasure Island and is eaten by Monstro the Whale, and ends up back at home in the care of Geppetto.

Snow White's Scary Adventures:
Another attraction based on a movie, this time it's the Oscar-winning 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In the ride, you'll see some scenes from the movie: When the Queen turns into a scraggly haired, wart-nosed old hag, another in which this wickd witch turns and offers a poisoned apple to you. The cars travel through another skeleton-scattered dungeon, pass the workshop where the Queen labors over a steaming caldron of poisoned apples, and then venture into the Frightening Forest, where mists swirl around floating logs that look like crocodiles. The jewel mines, where the Seven Dwarfs labor during the daytime, is full of masses of glow in the dark topaz, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires. At the end the evil Queen attempts to roll a stone down the side of a mountain to crush the dwarfs, she tumbles over the edge of a cliff and dies.
