Critter Country
CRITTER COUNTRY

Tucked into a shady hollow below the slopes of Splash Mountain, Critter Country invites you to stay a spell. Relax as country fiddlers, shops and restaurants serve up good times and good food.

ATRACTIONS:

Country Bear Playhouse
Country Bear Playhouse:
Visit the famous Country Bear Jamboree a foot-stompin, knee-slappin vacation hoedown where Big Al, Teddi Barra and the Bear Rugs put on a honey of a show.

Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain:
This is my favorite ride of all. I like it because of the big drops, and because it's cool inside. inside, you'll experience five drops, and you'll see a whole bunch of characters from Disney's 1946 film Song of the South featuring Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox and Brer Bear. And then the big drop, you plunge 52 feet at a 47-degree angle, making it one of the world's tallest and sharpest flume drops.

Trivia:

The current site of Splash Mountain was formerly the den of a snoring, hibernating bear named Rufus.

Teddi Barra's Swingin' Arcade:
This entertainment center, named for one of the big stars of the Country Bear Playhouse, is no ordinary arcade. Marksmen test their accuracy on empty honey pots, and Big Al, also from Country Bear Playhouse, challenges golfers. The basketball game features the stars of Song of the South.
