How is the "Asociacion NAPGUANA" organized?

 To organize our goals the Association is organized in the following way:

• General Assembly: This is the highest authorithy, formed by members of the Board of Directors. The General Assembly is responsible for establishing the short and long-term plans of the Association, the approval or rejection of financial reports, as well as the approval of the budget of the organization. The General Assembly also supports or substitutes for members of the Board of Directors. The Assembly normally meets once a year. Additional meetings are held when called by the Board of Directors or by a petition from 50% of the members.
• The Board of Directors: The Board is comprised by the President of the Association, the General Secretary, the Secretary of Projects, the Treasurer and others appointed by the Assembly. Its principal function is an operative one: executing the plans and projects decided upon by the Assembly, approved by the members or requested by organizations or communities. It is also the Board's role to carry out the statutes, regulations and other accords outlined by the Assembly.
• Communities and Organizations: These structures, autonomous in function, coordinate the execution of projects, programs and activities directly with the commissions of Napguana. All of these structures maintain a strict relation or coordination with the Board of Directors. They administrate the funds that are assigned to them and they propose projects and activities necessary to attend the spiritual or material needs and interests of the population being served. These organization help to orient and inform the community about national and international realities, as well as problems related to indigenous populations and their struggle for self-determination and development
